PestPic is a mobile app operated by A&K Systems (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us about your use of the app. By signing in and using PestPic, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We may update these terms. If we do, we will post the new version in the app and update the effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
PestPic lets you photograph an insect, tells you what it appears to be, explains how to respond, and helps you get in touch with a pest control provider near you.
PestPic gives you information, not professional advice. It is not a substitute for inspection by a licensed pest control professional, and nothing in the app is medical, health, or safety advice. If an insect has bitten or stung you, or if you have a health concern, contact a medical professional.
PestPic is being tested. Features may change or stop working, results may be wrong, and stored data may be reset during testing. We provide the app as it is during this period, and we may change or discontinue any part of it without notice.
Species identification is automated and is frequently wrong. The identification service we rely on publishes a top-result accuracy well below 50 percent across the species it covers. The app shows a confidence level and alternative candidates for this reason.
Treat every result as a starting point, not a conclusion. Do not rely on an identification for any decision where being wrong matters — including whether an insect is venomous, whether a structure is infested, or how to apply any pesticide. Follow the label and local law when using any pest control product.
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure.
You can delete your PestPic account and its data at any time from Settings > Delete account.
You keep all rights to the photos you take. By submitting a photo, you give us permission to process, store, and transmit it for the purpose of producing your result and operating the app, including sending it to the identification service described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not license them to anyone else.
Do not upload photos of other people, or photos you do not have the right to share.
When you choose to contact a provider, PestPic opens your own email app or dialer with a prepared draft. You send it yourself. We are not a party to any agreement, quote, visit, payment, or dispute between you and a provider.
We do not employ, endorse, vet, license-check, or supervise the providers listed in the app, and we do not guarantee their availability, pricing, or quality of work. Choosing a provider — and verifying their license and insurance — is up to you.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of the app — including damage to property, costs of pest control services, or any decision you made based on an identification result. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app will not exceed US$100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law that applies where you live.
